Crispy, Crunchy, and Oh-So-Delicious Rice Crispy Treats!

Get ready to indulge in a classic treat that’s super easy to make and even more fun to eat! Here’s a quick recipe for Rice Crispy Treats that will satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients:

  • 12 cups Rice Crispy cereal (about 12 ounces)
  • 3 bags mini marshmallows (about 30 ounces)
  • 1.5 sticks butter (about 12 tablespoons)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Prep Your Pan: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside. By lining the pan it makes not only for easy cleanup, but easy removal of the treats themselves!
  2. Melt the Butter: In a large pot over medium-low heat, melt the butter.
  3. Add Marshmallows: Stir in about 2.75 bags of marshmallows, reserving .25 of the last bag for later. Keep stirring until the marshmallows are completely melted.
  4. Mix It Up: Add the salt and vanilla extract to the melted mixture. Then, fold in the Rice Crispy cereal until it’s well-coated.
  5. Add More Marshmallows: Stir in the remaining .25 of the last bag of marshmallows for those gooey pockets of goodness!
  6. Spread It Out: Transfer the mixture to your prepared baking sheet. Spread it out evenly without packing it down—fluffiness is key!
  7. Cool and Enjoy: Let it cool completely before cutting into squares. Store any leftovers in an airtight container (if there are any!).
